From the Director of Challenge Camp
I am excited to announce that School of the Holy Child in Rye will be the home of Challenge Camp in 2013 for our 33rd summer of learning. This transition is a unique opportunity to further enhance our program with superior facilities in a magnificent setting and conveniently located off major highways.

The picturesque eighteen acre campus includes a beautiful Tudor style mansion, new academic buildings, art studios, science labs, music rooms, and a prominent library. A modern dining hall and array of turf/grass athletic fields provide an outstanding environment for our campers.
The Gifted and Talented Development Center, Inc. remains dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities for children to realize their intellectual and personal potential. Morning classes are designed to stimulate imagination and creativity. In addition to favorites such as Robot's Alive, Dr. Goodbody, The Illusionist, LEGOTech, Grand Prix, CITYscapes, Circuit City, The Producers and Checkmate, we are introducing many new morning courses this year including: Adventures in the Lab, "Aladdin", "The Twits", Fortune Cookie, I Want My Mummy, Cookin' Good, Awesome, Magical & Edible Experiments, MathBusters, Imagemakers and PhotoFinish.
The Afternoon Challenge features our outstanding sports program. Anime-tion, Birdland, Food, Facts & Fun, Inspector Gadget, Jungle Safari, Lady Luck, Mad Hatter Tea Party, Sea World, Yoga & Mindfulness, are some of the many exciting new enrichment options. We will continue to offer a wide variety of existing workshops which include the ever popular Computer Simulation, K'NEXplorations, Dungeons & Dragons, LEGO Mindstorms, "Project Runway", Rocket University, Sweet Temptations, Stage Door and Zumba.
The charismatic and talented Joseph Fields will return as Challenge's assistant director. Marcy Geisser-Wolf , an assistant director coordinates all camp activities including instructing the Counselor–in-Training program. Laura Gillings will facilitate the administration of camp operations to make this a memorable summer.
For your convenience, an optional early morning arrival program will be available this summer. I am hopeful that you will be able to join us for our 33rd summer at Challenge 2013 - your passport to learning.
